Module 4 of 5
Module 4: Measures, KPIs, Context & Advanced Modelling
Build measures and KPIs on clean concepts, read the generated VQL, and give Veezoo the right layer of business context.
Estimated time: 45 min
By now you can model classes, attributes, and relationships. This module is about what you build on top of that foundation: measures and KPIs, the query language Veezoo generates to answer questions, and the advanced modelling tools that make a Knowledge Graph feel native to your business.
The module closes with the context stack, the layers of business context you can give Veezoo, from fully deterministic definitions to always-on static notes, and how to decide which layer a piece of knowledge belongs in.
What you will learn
- How row-level, aggregate, and nested calculations become measures, all created in natural language.
- How to read a generated VQL query, and why Veezoo generates VQL rather than SQL.
- When to reach for a subclass, and when a hierarchical class is the better fit.
- How links, HTML tags, custom units, and ordinal sorting change what users see.
- Which layer of the context stack a piece of business knowledge belongs in.
Lectures
- 4.1 From Concepts to KPIs - row-level, aggregate, and nested calculations in natural language.
- 4.2 Reading VQL - vars, relationships, entities, and measures in a generated query.
- 4.3 Subclasses - type-specific attributes without silently filtered answers.
- 4.4 Hierarchies - aggregate along a structure and drill down level by level.
- 4.5 Links & Power Features - links, HTML tags, custom units, and ordinal sorting.
- 4.6 Context: Layers, Notes & When NOT to Use Them - pushing every piece of context toward the deterministic end.
