Understanding Answers

A Veezoo answer is more than a number. Depending on your question, it can combine text, charts, tables, whole boards and interactive canvases - all streamed into the chat as they are ready. This page explains what you can do with an answer once it arrives.

What an answer contains

• Text: the agent's explanation, insights and any caveats about the data.
• Charts and tables: visualizations of the query results. Veezoo picks the best-fitting chart automatically, and you can always change it (see below).
• Boards: for broader questions, Veezoo can present several related answers together as a dashboard.
• Canvases: for "report" or "briefing" style requests, Veezoo builds an interactive canvas that you can refine with Edit with AI and export to PowerPoint - see Canvases.

Verified data points

Trust matters in analytics, so Veezoo verifies the numbers it quotes. Every number the AI mentions in its answer text is checked character for character against the actual query results before it is shown to you.

Verified numbers are clickable: hover over one to see Source of this data point, and click it to see exactly where the value comes from in the underlying result. If a number cannot be verified against the data, Veezoo does not present it as a fact from your database.

Changing the visualization

Click Change Visualization on an answer to switch to a different chart type - Veezoo offers all types that fit the shape of your data, from bar and line charts to maps and heat maps. You can also switch to the raw table view via Change display mode to see the underlying rows.

Exploring further from an answer

Click on a value in a chart or table to open the answer context menu. From there you can:

• Break down by ...: split the result by another attribute, for example break down revenue by product category.
• Filter for ...: narrow the answer down to the selected value, for example only one region.
• Analyze: let Veezoo analyze the selected value in depth and surface what drives it.

These actions ask a new question based on the current answer, so you can keep drilling in without typing anything. You can also use follow-up questions to explore in free form.

Inspecting the query behind an answer

Every data answer is backed by a query you can inspect. Open the answer menu and choose Show VQL / SQL query to see:

• VQL: the query the AI wrote over your business concepts (measures, classes, attributes).
• SQL: the query Veezoo generated from the VQL and ran on your database.

The AI never writes SQL to answer questions - it writes VQL, and Veezoo compiles it to SQL deterministically, applying your measure definitions and permissions. This is a key part of why answers are trustworthy. Read more in the Architecture Overview and the VQL reference.

Alternative interpretations

Some questions are genuinely ambiguous - "top customers" could mean by revenue or by order count. When Veezoo is not fully certain, it either asks you directly or shows a Did you mean hint with alternative interpretations of your question. Click an alternative to see that answer instead. Checking the answer's title and applied filters is a quick way to confirm Veezoo understood you as intended.

Giving feedback

Use the thumbs up / thumbs down buttons on an answer to tell Veezoo whether it answered your question correctly. Positive feedback confirms good answers; negative feedback lets you say what went wrong and helps your team spot where the AI needs better context about your business.

Saving and sharing an answer

• Save / Add to Board: save an answer as a widget on a board so it stays up to date with your latest data. Any visualization modifications you made are preserved.
• Share a link: share the answer with colleagues via a link. See Sharing Boards for how access to shared items works.

Saved answers on boards can also be scheduled and delivered to Email, Slack or Microsoft Teams.

Exporting and printing

• Download Excel: export the answer's data as an Excel (.xls) file via the export menu.
• Download Visualization: export a chart as a PNG image.
• Print: print a single answer (Print this Answer) or the whole conversation (Print Chat History).
