Veezoo

Databricks MCP Connectors

Connect Veezoo to Databricks managed MCP servers.

Setup in Databricks

Following the official Databricks MCP setup guide, first identify the managed server you want to use and then create a PAT.

Choose a Managed Server

Databricks exposes multiple managed MCP servers for different kinds of resources. Each has a separate Veezoo connector with its URL pattern pre-filled. Choose the connector for the service you need:

Veezoo connectorPre-filled server URL
Databricks Genie Agenthttps://{WORKSPACE_HOST}/api/2.0/mcp/genie/{GENIE_SPACE_ID}
Databricks Genie Onehttps://{WORKSPACE_HOST}/api/2.0/mcp/genie
Databricks Unity Catalog Functionhttps://{WORKSPACE_HOST}/api/2.0/mcp/functions/{CATALOG}/{SCHEMA}/{FUNCTION_NAME}
Databricks AI Searchhttps://{WORKSPACE_HOST}/api/2.0/mcp/ai-search/{CATALOG}/{SCHEMA}/{INDEX_NAME}

Genie Agent connects to one Genie space; Genie One provides workspace analytics. See the managed-server directory for details about each service and the values in its URL pattern.

For every connector, extract the workspace hostname from the URL you use to access Databricks: keep only the hostname, without https://, a trailing slash, or any path or query parameters. Use this hostname to replace {WORKSPACE_HOST} in the pre-filled server URL, then fill in the remaining placeholders for your chosen service.

Example

First, extract the Databricks workspace host from the workspace URL. For example, if you access your workspace at

https://my-workspace.cloud.databricks.com/

then the workspace hostname is my-workspace.cloud.databricks.com.

For Databricks Genie Agent, replace {WORKSPACE_HOST} with that hostname. We can open the intended Genie space and copy its space ID from the URL. Replace {GENIE_SPACE_ID} with that ID. Assuming it is my-space-id, the completed server URL is:

https://my-workspace.cloud.databricks.com/api/2.0/mcp/genie/my-space-id

Create a Personal Access Token

In the Databricks workspace, navigate to Settings > Developer > Access tokens > Manage and generate a token

Configure Veezoo

In Veezoo, open Admin > MCP Connectors > Catalog and add the connector matching your chosen service, such as Databricks Genie Agent or Databricks AI Search. Each variant can be added separately. Set the following values:

Veezoo FieldValue
Server URLThe pre-filled URL with all placeholders replaced
Personal access tokenThe PAT generated above

After testing the connection, finalize the configuration by:

  • Optionally configuring access restrictions
  • Enabling / disabling individual tools and configuring their confirmation policies
